Parish Life Conference 2023

PLC 2023

Welcome to the Diocese of Ottawa, Eastern Canada and Upstate New York Parish Life Conference.

Greetings from Saint Elias Antiochian Orthodox Church of Syracuse, NY in the name of Our God and Saviour Jesus Christ.

We are delighted to invite all of our Diocesan Clergy, brothers and sisters in Christ to Syracuse, NY for the 70th Annual Parish Life Conference. It is a great honor to have his Grace Bishop Alexander presiding. With his blessing, as well as the effort of our retired pastor, the Very Reverend Archpriest Father Elias Nasr, our current pastor, Fr. Michael Ibrahim, and myself as chair, and the many subcommittees, the 2023 PLC proves to be a spiritual, uplifting experience, as well as a beautiful social gathering of the faithful.

The theme of the 2023 PLC is “Let Us Make Man in Our Image, According to Our Likeness”. Let us celebrate as we gather together in love illuminating the image as we labor for his glory.

The setting of the 2023 Parish Life Conference is in the beautiful city of Syracuse, NY. Saint Elias Antiochian Orthodox Church invites you to visit and worship with family and friends in our beautiful city! The conference will take place at the newly renovated Doubletree Hotel by Hilton on June 29th – July 2nd, 2023.

Syracuse is the home of the Destiny USA Mall, full of shopping, dining, and entertainment. Downtown Syracuse invites you to the bustling Armory Square, Syracuse Stage, and a variety of museums including The Most (Museum of Science and Technology). The nearby Onondaga lake is famous for its history and lovely walking and biking trails. Nearby Skaneateles Lake boasts its popular lunch and dinner cruises.

However, the greatest highlight of the 2023 conference is having His Grace Bishop Alexander joining us. We welcome his love, blessings, and guidance as we gather in Jesus’s name. Other highlights include youth and organizational meetings, spiritual speakers and services, and social events that make the PLC one of the Archdiocese’s most established and popular traditions.

Welcome to Syracuse!
